A significant increase of the hemoglobin loss by the microwave exposed erythrocytes comparatively to controls was observed. Red blood cells (RBC) count was essentially the same in irradiated and control samples while the mean cellular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC) decreased in the exposed samples.
